Frida Kahlo is perhaps the third most depicted and recognizable female subject in art next to Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn. We love her as a subject for an art piece because she was so varied in her personality and passions. Here we see her as young Frida, a fighter of sorts who had to overcome her own physical limitations in life. Nobody would have ever accused her of giving up on anything.
